Maryborough’s Magical Garden!

Over the last number of months while school has been closed Ms. Gow with the help of Peter Dunne have been very busy!  Work on the back garden of the school is now complete. We look forward to pupils enjoying the newly renovated garden area behind the sports hall. Ms. Gow and her gardening team have been working away on this initiative for over a year and we would like to congratulate and thank them all for their hard work and enthusiasm! Thank you especially to Ms. Gow, who successfully achieved a large grant for the gardening initiative from Laois County Council. The funding allowed the school to seek the help and creative skills of local gardener and landscaper Peter Dunne. Peter Dunne Landscaping has created a beautiful, bright, magical area which no doubt all pupils throughout the school, now and in the future, will thoroughly enjoy. Ms. Gow had a vision of an ‘outdoor learning environment’ which would encourage the creative skills of all pupils, young and old. It truly is a very special place to be and we are so lucky to have this to look forward to when we return to school at the end of August. Many thanks to Peter Dunne, Ms. Gow and all of the pupils who contributed to this project! There was a huge amount of planning and preparation involved, not an easy task! Please see the photos attached which shows the impressive finished product!
