Who knew maths could be so much fun?
We love Maths in Mrs Barry’s room.
The competition is fierce in 1st and 2nd Class, as the boys and girls challenge each other in card games to reinforce their tables. (Apologies to all the other classes in the school, and indeed to the other schools on the campus, for the noise generated during these games – the excitement and tension is mighty! Congratulations to Ali who played ‘Beat the Teacher’ recently, and won!

Mrs Barry’s class have been creating lots of wonderful art. Look through our gallery to see how fabulous each piece is. The children have put so much effort into making their own pieces unique. Their displays have been brightening our walls and corridors.

Mrs Barry’s Class have been getting fit and learning how to skip.
We have been learning how to skip over the last few weeks. We have been putting our new skills to good use in the yard each day and have been teaching each other new moves and even a few routines.

Skittles Experiment!
The boys and girls in 1st and 2nd class made great scientists last week as they took part in a colour experiment using Skittles! Everyone had great fun watching the colours come together. Check out some pictures below! 😊
Tree Planting
Mr. Hickey, Ms Gow and Miss Handcock were busy in December giving each child a tree to plant around the school. The children really enjoyed it and they may like to come back in a few years’ time to admire their lovely trees. We had a lovely selection of trees, there were Hawthorn, Hazel, Alder, Oak and Scott’s Pine. Thank you to Trees on the Land for kindly sponsoring the trees.
