Junior Infants 2022
This September we welcomed our new Junior Infant class into Ms. Handcock’s room. Pupils had great fun playing, making new friends, and meeting everyone in their new school. We hope they enjoy their time at Maryborough National School!!
Litter Picking
Taking Care of Our School Environment
Throughout the month of March Junior and Senior Infants have been learning all about how to take care of the planet and our school environment. We have been discussing ways in which we can help to look after our school. Every day for the month of March they have been outside litter picking, checking the flowers and plants, and exploring our wonderful school garden. They have really enjoyed it and they have also decided to continue with their litter picking once a week. (It was an added bonus to have such good weather!)
A Taste of Christmas
Junior and Senior Infants were surprised last Friday with some Christmas treats from our Elf on the Shelf. They sampled mince pies, Christmas cake, yule log and cranberry bites. As you can see by all the smiles and thumbs up they really enjoyed it.
Aistear Play Sessions
Throughout the month of October, Junior and Senior Infants started their play sessions which were based on the theme of autumn. They had a great time in the autumn shop selling conkers, pumpkins and acorns, making pumpkins from playdough, building shelters for animals in the construction area and making leaf rubbings with leaves they found themselves. See them in action!
Welcoming our new Junior Infants!!
We had a great first week welcoming our new Junior Infants to Maryborough N.S. They have settled in really well over the last two weeks, they are really enjoying BIG school! They have made lots of new friends, they have sung lots of songs and they have played lots and lots. Check them out in action having fun in their new school. Look at those lovely smiles!
